Ingredients (serve 6)
- 360g Chicken, without bone, grilled, chopped
- 120g Pineapple, chopped
- 90g Onion, chopped
- 135g Mushrooms, fresh, chopped
- 50g Green pepper, seeded, sliced in rings
- 10g Celery
- 2g Mixed herbs
- 3g Maize flour,
- 60ml Sunflower oil
Preparation
- Heat the oil in a pan over moderate heat.
- Sauté the onions, mushrooms, pineapple, green pepper and celery lightly.
- Add the chicken and flavourants and mix. Cook for a few minutes.
- Thicken the sauce with maize flour if need be and serve.
Tips
- Adjust protein by reducing chicken portions
- Add chopped coriander for additional flavor
- Cake flour or cornstarch can also be used instead of maize flour
- Use unsaturated plant oil, less may be used to lower fat content
