Ingredients (serve 6)

  • 360g Chicken, without bone, grilled, chopped
  • 120g Pineapple, chopped
  • 90g Onion, chopped
  • 135g Mushrooms, fresh, chopped
  • 50g Green pepper, seeded, sliced in rings
  • 10g Celery
  • 2g Mixed herbs
  • 3g Maize flour,
  • 60ml Sunflower oil

Preparation

  1. Heat the oil in a pan over moderate heat.
  2. Sauté the onions, mushrooms, pineapple, green pepper and celery lightly.
  3. Add the chicken and flavourants and mix. Cook for a few minutes.
  4. Thicken the sauce with maize flour if need be and serve.

Tips

  • Adjust protein by reducing chicken portions
  • Add chopped coriander for additional flavor
  • Cake flour or cornstarch can also be used instead of maize flour
  • Use unsaturated plant oil, less may be used to lower fat content
